ALGEBRA Quiz Reflection and 7.2.1 Problems

Learning Target:  Students will solidify their knowledge of slope and the use of y=mx+b through quiz reteaching and additional practice.

You need motivation to learn this stuff?  While this is a speech to motivate children to ride bikes, consider it your motivational speech to master these math concepts.

1.  View the reteaching videos for the problems that you did not understand.  Make all corrections on your quiz!!!  (Be patient - this was my first time recording with Explain Everything - some of the videos have multiple introductions - eventually the video gets to the problem!- Thanks for your understanding)

2.  After viewing the reteaching videos and making corrections on your quiz, complete a blog post entry. Title your blog post: "Quiz Reflection".  Include the following questions and responses.
  • Describe two concepts from Chapter 7 that you understand.  Give a specific example from the quiz or create your own.  Use images to enhance your response.
  • Describe two concepts from Chapter 7 that need your attention prior to the final test.  These are items that you learned more about today and that you need to complete additional problems before the test.  Use images to enhance your response.
3.  In Whiteboard Groups!  Complete 7.2.1 problems (Touch Link -> File -> Download -> Open With...) that require you to find the slope, y-intercept, slope triangle, and y form (y=mx+b).  After you complete these problems, the work will be posted to your blog demonstrating continued practice with concepts from Chapter 7.
