T-Shirt Vendor Wanted

Solo trip to see HRC in Mishawaka
LT:  Students will solve the theme problem by graphing a system of equations and interpret the point of intersection in a system of equations.

      • Charge $3 per shirt

      • Charge $50 Setup Fee
      • Charge $7 per shirt
  • Create a y= rule for each company
  • Create a table for each company indicating its cost for 0, 5,10,15,20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50
  • Use the graphing calculator app to graph the rules AFTER you have created your tables
  • You have received orders for your shirt that you designed.  Which company are you going to get your shirts from?
    • Order for 5 shirts.  What company should you purchase the shirts from?
    • Order for 15 shirts.  What company should you purchase the shirts from?
    • Order for 45 shirts.  What company should you purchase the shirts from?
    • Order for 17 shirts. What company should you purchase the shirts from?
    • Order for 1,499 shirts.  What company should you purchase the shirts from?
  • Using your graphing calculator app, what is the point of intersection for each line with each line?  Record it!
  • Create a Scribble Press book that summarizes your events as a business owner to people who want to invest in your t-shirt(s).
