PreAlgebra 2: Chapter 4 Quiz Review

1: Woodrow makes stools with three legs and stools with four legs.  One day he used 77
legs to make 21 stools.  How many stools of each type did he build?


2:  Linda had three times as many dimes as nickels. She had $3.85 altogether.  How many
dimes did Linda have?

Order of Operations:
 (6 − 4) × 49 ÷ 7


43 − 1
4 + 2       + 10

 (2 + 6 × 2 + 2 − 4) × 2


Convert:

6/10 into a decimal

0.7 into a percent

92% into a fraction

Mean:

Find the mean and round to the nearest tenth:
45, 23, 64, 97, 56, 61, 0, 29

Find the y values given the x values in y=4 +3 + (2x-1)

x = -2
x = -1
x = 0
x = 1
x = 2
