Guess & Check Tables

1.  The number of girls at camp was 4 more than twice the number of boys, and altogether there were 58 campers.  How many boys and girls are there?

2.  John is four years younger than his brother Michael, and their sister, Hannah, is three years younger than twice John's age.  Altogether their ages total 45.  What are the ages John, Michael, and Hannah?

3.  Erin the softball coach, is ordering new equipment for the season.  Erin ordered three times as many helmets as bats, and five more softballs than helmets. Altogether, she brought 40 new pieces of equipment.  How many helmets, bats, and softballs did she purchase?
